South-West monsoon week over Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 8 (UNI) The South-West monsoon has been week over Kerala with rain occurring at a few places in the state and very light rain at Lakshadweep.

Karippur airport recorded one cm of rain, the local weather office said here.

Rain will occur at most places in the sate and at a few places in the Union Territory during the next 48 hours, it said.

They, however, warned fishermen against strong onshore winds from Westerly direction with speed occasionally reaching 45-55 kmph along the coastline during the next 48 hours, it added.
