Real fruit blended yogurts to be launched in India
Shimla, Aug 8 (UNI) For the first time in India, real fruit blended yogurts would be launched in the market by an agri-export company, Himalya International Limited.
''So far only plain and flavoured yogurts are produced in the country. Now real fruit blended yogurts will be launched for the first time as healthy breakfast and snack food,'' the company's chairman, Mr Man Mohan Malik said here today.
The yoghurts will be available in the market by October under the brand name 'Himalya Fresh'.
He said that the company will launch various varieties of fruit yogurts having Indian and imported fruits and shall import different varieties of berries like Blue berry, Straw berry and Raspberry fruits from North America while Mango, Peaches, Banana etc fruits will be procured from the Indian markets.
The company is setting up a yogurt plant at Paonta Sahib area of Sirmour district of Himachal Pradesh and has imported equipment and technology from the United States.
''The plant would have the capacity to produce 50 million cups of yogurt per annum. We will procure 30,000 liters of pasteurised milk per day and open around 50 milk collection centers,'' Mr Malik said.
