Five injured in blast at New Jalpaiguri

Siliguri, Aug 08 (UNI) Five persons were injured, two of them critically, when a crude bomb exploded at the Shantipara area, about 100 metres from the New Jalpaiguri border outpost this morning.

NJP outpost Officer Incharge Pankaj Thapa said the injured were rushed to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital where the condition of two of them was stated to be critical.

A huge police contingent had reached the spot and an investigation was on, the OC added.
