Exemplary honesty of sanitary attendant

Chandigarh, Aug 8 (UNI) A sanitary attendant of PGI here today showed commendable integrity when he returned a purse found in the old shopping complex near Oral Health Sciences Centre.

Mukesh Kumar, who found the purse containing Rs 10,600 along with other documents, deposited it immediately with the Security Control Room, Nehru Hospital, PGI.

The patient, Mr A L Gupta, former Deputy Director, Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Himachal Pradesh, Shimla was on a wheel chair when he lost the purse.

He was moved to tears when he was handed back the purse with all the contents inside.

A grateful Mr Gupta gave Mukesh an appreciation letter and Rs 200 as a token of thanks.
