Cautionary Signal No III hoisted in Andaman

Port Blair, Aug 8 (UNI) Andaman and Nicobar Islands administration today hoisted local precautionary signal III in all ports following unfavourable wind condition and vigorous monsoon.

The Island Administration has also cancelled a few ferry services, creating problem for inter-island ship passengers of these far-flung islands.

Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department unit of Andaman has predicted strong southwest to westerly windspeed between 55&65 km per hour and very rough to high seas along and off Andaman and Nicobar coast.

Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea, the weather warning said.
