Bank official looted, robbers decamp with Rs 10 lakh

Hyderabad, Aug 8 (UNI) A two-member masked gang today looted Rs ten lakh from a bank official when he was proceeding to his office in Rajpalli from Kagaz Nagar in Adilabad District, 300 km away from the capital city.

Police said the bank cashier drew Rs ten lakh from the State bank of Hyderabad in Kagaz Nagar and proceeded towards his bank on a two wheeler.

The gang intercepted the bank official's vehicle, threatened him at gunpoint with a revolver and decamped with money.

The robbers abandoned the two-wheeler used in the theft at an isolated place. Special police teams were formed to nab the thieves.
