AP Govt extends death relief to all service pensioners

Hyderabad, Aug 8 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today approved the proposal to extend the death relief, to all categories of service pensioners.

The relief included, Municipal School Teachers, Z P School Teachers, Aided School Teachers, Aided College Lecturers and among others, whose service pension was charged to 'Pension and Other Retirement Benefits'.

At present, an amount of Rs 5,000 is being paid as death relief to service pensioner.

In response to the representations received from several Pensioners Associations, Dr Reddy has agreed to extend the death relief to other non-Government pensioners, such as aided Institutions, local bodies and Corporations, among others.
