Two minors drown in Dhansiri river

Kohima, Aug 07 (UNI) Two minor boys drowned in the Dhansiri river near Naharbari area here.

Official sources said here today that the victims were identified as Lhizhoto Mero (15) and Petsho Mero (13), both from Pfutseromi village under Phek district.

Petsho was bathing in the Dhansiri river yesterday when he slipped and drowned.

Lhizhoto, who tried to rescue him, also drowned in the river.

The bodies could not yet be recovered, the sources said, adding that search operations were on.
