SPO dies with his own weapon, two injured in Kashmir

Srinagar Aug 7 (UNI) A Special Police Officer (SPO) was killed when his weapon went off accidentally while two persons were injured in road accident in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said today.

They said SPO Imtiyaz Ali Mir was injured critically when a weapon he was cleaning at Special Operation Group (SOG) camp at Kulgam went off accidentally.

The injured SPO was rushed to district hospital Kulgam where he succumbed to his injuries.

Two people were injured when their motorcycle met with an accident at Hayan Trehgam in the frontier district of Kupwara. They were hospitalised.
