Parking fine on hearse has funeral home boss fuming!

London, Aug 7 : A funeral home boss is livid after traffic officers slapped him with a parking fine over his hearse - with a body and coffin inside.

The wardens charged David Dodson with a fine of 35 pounds when he left the car in a bay outside the funeral home while he was unloading one corpse.

Though the zone has double yellow lines, but his hearses use the space quite often, and that's the ground he contested the fine on.

"The car had a coffin inside it. You'd think it's a sensitive area but they obviously don't care," The Sun quoted him, as telling about the incident in Newquay, Cornwall.

He added: "I'd accept it if the law was the same for all but when the mayor was here the wardens walked by."

Restormel council said: "Any vehicle in contravention may be ticketed."
