Low intensity bomb explodes in Assam

Guwahati, Aug 7 (UNI) A low intensity bomb exploded in lower Assam town of Bongaigaon this evening, but did not cause any casualty.

The bomb, kept near a drain, damaged a portion of the drain.

Police suspected it to be the handiwork of ULFA, who traditionally explode bombs in the run-off to the Independence Day.
