Load shedding reduced for industries in Maharashtra

Mumbai, Aug 7 (UNI) Industries in Maharashtra, from tomorrow, will have only 24-hours load shedding in a week as against 40 hrs hitherto following reduction in power demand in the State due to copious rains Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDC) in a release here today said that the reduction would be implemented initial for four days and would be extended further depending upon the situation.

It said power supply in the state was only 8000 MW as against the demand of 11,500 MW.
