Jammu, Kashmir students on tour meet meet Mah governor

Mumbai, Aug 7 (UNI) A group of 20 school children, including ten girls and ten boys, from various schools of Jammu and Kashmir, currently on an educational cum motivational tour of the city, today met Mahashtra Governor S C Jamir at Raj Bhavan.

The students, whose multicity tour has been organised by the Indian Army as part of ''Operation Sadbhavana'', were accompanied by three teachers and members of the Indian Army.

Interacting with the children on the occasion, Governor Jamir said that India is a country of rich diversity, although the people from different States speak different languages and follow different religions, there is a unity in this diversity. He told the children that all of us should be proud to belong to a great nation like India.

The Governor praised the Indian Army for being a role model of unity and integrity.

The children from Jammu and Kashmir, largely coming from the Nowshera sector, earlier visited the NDA, Army Sports Centre and Infosys campus in Pune, Goa and Nashik and are now on a two day visit to Mumbai.
