Patna,Aug 07(UNI) Patna High Court today directed the striking 33,000 Non Teaching Employees(NTEs) of various universities and colleges across the state to resume work within 48 hours.
Chief Justice R S Lodha and Justice Ravi Ranjan issued the directive on a letter from a student of Roy Degree College, Siwan, complained that B Sc (Part1) examination had been postponed due to the strike. The court treated the letter as public interest petition.

The court directed the state government to implement the agreement reached with the NTEs on July 17, 2007, within 30 days.
The next date for hearing the matter has been fixed on September eight.
The directive came when during the hearing, counsel of the NTEs brought to the notice of the bench about the non-implementation of the earlier agreement.
