Good rains reduce demand supply gap in energy

Mumbai, Aug 07 (UNI) Good rainfall all over the state has reduced the demand of power substantially, due to which Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDC) has reduced industrial load shedding from 40 hours to 24 hours from tomorrow.

While the power demand of the state is 11,500 MW, the supply is 8,000 MW, a release issued here by MSEDC said.

This decision will be implemented initially for four days as a temporary relief and later it would be continued depending on the situation, the release added.
