Country's first ever mega music portal planet Radiocity.com

Mumbai, Aug 7 (UNI) Extending its unmatched expertise in the Indian FM space, Radiocity 91.1 FM today launched its online digital platform providing a one stop destination for music enthusiasts across the nation.

The country's first ever mega music portal would cater to the needs of music lovers and even allow them to design their own radio station, providing information about their star artists and also events across the nation, loaded with information entertainment and interactivity and Planet Radiocity.com had diverse features providing an unparalleled 360 degree music experience to its visitors, Radio City CEO Apurva Purohit told newsmen, here today at the launch.

A unique feature, she said was an interactive online musicopedia, which provide references on anything related to music. Even visitors can contribute to the building up of musicopedia like wikipedia, she added. The portal would enable users to build community and have social networking through music, in addition to supporting music and video streaming.

Music reporter is another segment, in which the portal offered an extremely content rich section that provided users information on the latest happenings in the world of music. This segment would be updated on a daily basis.

Ms Purohit said by enabling social networking through music ''We believe that user will definitely meet more like minded people, who share the same thoughts and views.'' A self supporting portal, Planet Radiocity.com hoped to break even in about 18 months time with the visitors enjoying free registration. It would earn revenue through advertisements, Ms Purohit said.
