CM sanctions Rs one cr to Nayee Brahmin, Vaddera, Washermen

Hyderabad, Aug 7 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today sanctioned Rs One crore each to Nayee Brahmin, Vaddera and Washermen Federations.

During a review meeting on BC Welfare, Financial Assistance Schemes to BC Occupational Groups and Societies and other issues with officials at Secretariat, he also sanctioned Rs 50 lakhs to the Duddekula, Vishwabrahmins, Shalivahanas (Potters), Tailors, Uppara and Valmiki Federations.

He also agreed to support the existing societies for modernization, training for skill upgradation and marketing.

He asked the BC Welfare department to come up with new schemes to help the BC occupational Groups to modernize and market their profession. They should also prepare a new scheme to form new societies under these groups and come out with an estimate to provide financial assistance to them, according to an official press release.
