Centre extends Suspension of Operation with UPDS in Assam

New Delhi, Aug 7 (UNI) The Centre has extended the Suspension of Operation agreement with the United People's Democratic Solidarity for six months till January 31, 2009.

A tripartite meeting of the representatives of the Home Ministry, Assam government and UPDS was held yesterday, which reviewed the functioning of the SoO arrangement and observance of the agreed ground rules.

After detailed discussion, the decision was taken to extend the agreement.
