CBI for sealing properties of accused in kidney scam
Ambala, Aug 7 (UNI) The CBI today moved an application requesting that the properties belonging to kidney scam kingpin, Dr Amit Kumar, his brother Dr Jeevan and their accomplice Dr Upinder should be sealed since there was possibility of disposing of the properties.
The application was filed by the CBI counsel A K Singh in the court of Special CBI Magistrate Abdul Majid during hearing of the case today. All the accused including nurse, Linda were present in the court.
The court however, discharged Ramesh and Suresh, both working as cooks with Amit Kumar. Both, already on bail, had filed an application that they should be discharged of the allegations framed against them.
Dr Amit alongwith 12 other accused are facing trial in the kidney scam being pursued by the CBI.
