Three arrested for illegal green felling

Nahan, Aug 7: Police has registered a case against three persons for illegal felling of trees in forest area following a complaint lodged by the editor of a vernacular paper.

Police sources said that a complaint was lodged by Editor Rajesh Rahi with the conservator of forest, Nahan circle, and the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Paonta-sahib, that green trees were removed from Kansar reserve forest by the three in connivance with forest officials.

Mr Rahi demanded strict action against the accused for issuing threats to him following the registration of case at Majra Police Station.
