Audi India's sales up 163 per cent
Kolkata, Aug 7 (UNI) Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, has notched up 163 per cent rise in its sales figure at 595 cars during the current calendar year's first seven months.
Informing this, a company release today said Audi registered a sales growth of 525 per cent in July as compared to that of July 2007.
Audi Group's profit before tax(PBT) also increased by 267 million euros at 1.372 billion euros from January to June, showing a growth of 24.2 per cent.
Despite a negative currency effect in connection with the USD and sterling pound, the group was able to grow its revenue by 0.1 per cent at 17.387 billion euros in the first half of the year, the release further informed.
