All-party delegation to visit J
New Delhi, Aug 7 (UNI) An all-party delegation, led by Home Minister Shivraj Patil, will visit Jammu and Srinagar on August 9 to help resolve the Amarnath land row which has led to agitation and violence in the state.
The decision to send this delegation has been taken following the deleberation at the all-party meeting chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh yesterday to discuss the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
The all-party meeting had issued joint appeal for restoration of peace and normalcy in the state, where large-scale violence has been continuing for the last 38 days following the revocation of land grant to the SASB.
The meeting had also called for an environment for the suspension of the ongoing agitation and initiate a process of dialogue for its resolution.
