AFWWA organises declamation contest for children

Gandhinagar, Aug 7 (UNI) The students of various Kendriya Vidhyalayas and Air Force schools of Gujarat, Rajasthan and Maharastra region participated in the Annual Declamation contest here today.

The contest was organised by the Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA) of South Western Air Command under the leadership of President AFWWA(R) Mrs Neelam Singh.

Miss Amruta Bhir of Air Force Station Jamnagar stood First in the English contest and Miss Jyoti Yadav of Air Force Station Pune stood first in Hindi Declamation contest.

The prizes were given away by the Chief Guest, Air Vice Marshal Pradeep Singh, the Air Defence Commander of HQ SWAC, IAF.

These two winners will now represent SWAC region at the AFWWA (Central) contest at New Delhi.
