UP: 2 engineers suspended over laxity

Lucknow, Aug 7: Uttar Pradesh government has suspended two executive engineer of Irrigation department with immediate effect for conducting laxity in flood relief operations.

The suspended officials comprised Dinesh of Lakhimpur Kheri district and Om Prakash Srivastava of Mirzapur district, Secretary of Irrigation department Jitendra Kumar said.

The duo committed dereliction of duty towards repairment and construction of dams at the respective places, he added.
