Deep cracks at Mahabodhi temple

Gaya, August 6, 2008 : This is the place where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. The Mahabodhi temple is a shrine in Bodh Gaya revered by Buddhists across the world.

But the place is now in a bad state as deep cracks have developed at this world heritage temple in Bihar. A minister from the Public Works Department visited the temple recently with some officials and said that all measures would be taken to preserve the world heritage Mahabodhi temple.
