Upbeat Amarinder says would ''pack up SAD''

Patiala, Aug 6 (UNI) Former chief minister and newly Appointed chairman of campaign committee of Punjab Congress Capt. Amarinder Singh today said that Congress would win all the 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab.

Talking to UNI over phone from New Delhi, an upbeat Amarider said that he would not leave any stone unturned to ''pack up the ruling Shiromani Akali Dal from the state'' adding that the SAD was now ''a divided house and its government will fall after the Parliamentary polls.'' ''I will do my best to fulfill the expectations of Congress President who has reposed faith in me. We would unleash the poll campaign with such vigour and strength that the Akali Government would be swept out from Punjab,'' he said.

Meanwhile, Mrs Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, Leader of Opposition Punjab has also welcomed the new appointments and expressed hope that the new appointees would ''work in tandem as a team'' in the coming Parliamentary Elections and ''show a united face to win maximum number of Parliament seats.'' Expressing her gratitude to the Congress chief Sonia Gandhi for ''taking the right decisions'' she congratulated Mohinder Singh Kay Pee who has been given charge of President of Pradesh Congress.

She has also commended the appointment of Capt. Singh and Mr Ashwani Sekhri as Chairman and Convener respectively of the Campaign Committee.

''All the factions of Punjab Congress would unitedly fight the repression and terror let loose on the Congress Workers and Leaders by the SAD-BJP regime and would work to strengthen the party base in the state,'' she said.
