Two-day mega IT event e-Revolution 2008 to begin tomorrow

Chandigarh, Aug 6 (UNI) The two-day mega IT event "eRevolution 2008" will begin tomorrow to promote the region as one of the most preferred destinations for investment by IT companies.

Nasscom, TiE, Indian Angels Network, and STPI would be partnering with the state governments of Panjab, Haryana and Chandigarh Administration in organising the fourth edition of the mega IT event.

Dr Ganesh Natrajan, Chairman, NASSCOM and Mr Som Mittal, President, NASSCOM will address the inaugural session of the IT event, to be inaugurated by Punjab Governor and Chandigarh AdministGeneral (Retd) S F Rodrigues.

The conclave will include an array of keynote presentations on leadership insight and engaging youth by creating new trends and opportunities and future landscape and a panel discussion by the industry experts.

During the conclave experts would discuss NASSCOM report, evaluating Chandigarh and neighbouring regions as favoured IT destinations, leadership insights and innovations in strategic development and challenges in age of globalisation and creating an ecosystem for sustaining IT talent.

The panel discussions on next generation internet services, social networking and opportunities in web 2.0, engaging youth by creating new trends and opportunities, venture capitalist and investing scenario in region with an outlook on angel investors.
