Indian Post gears up for Rakhi

New Delhi, August 6 : For the festival of Rakhi, which is on August 16, the Department of Posts has made special arrangements for handling of Rakhi mails from 11th to 20th.

Special posting counters are being set up in 34 important post offices of Delhi and at the two railway stations of Delhi and New Delhi during this period.

To avoid last minute rush, customers are advised to post Rakhi well in time.

The Department of Posts in collaboration with DuPont has made available special Rakhi envelopes for sale through all-important post offices in Delhi.

These special envelopes are made of wholly tear proof and water proof material and are available in size 11cms x 22cms.

They are light enough to keep the Rakhi mail within the basic weight limit as far as possible.

These envelopes are available in seven attractive designs pre-gummed with a peel-off strip seal mechanism for easy sealing.

Rakhi envelopes are available for sale in the head post offices and sub post offices all over NCT of Delhi at a uniform price of Rs. five each.

The special arrangements for Rakhi are part of the ongoing efforts of Indian Posts to respond sensitively to consumer needs.
