Peace march organised for Hiroshima Day
Mumbai, Aug 6 (UNI) A peace march was organised by NSS units of SNDT and Mumbai University, from Azad Maidan to Hutatma Chowk on the occasion of 'Hiroshima Day' here today.
More than 2,000 students took part in the march to mark the anniversary of the devastation of Hiroshima, which is still realing under the impact of atomic attack by America during second World war II.
The students displayed several posters at various colleges to create awareness about the negating effects of 'Nuclear Bomb'.
The students were carrying placards and banners, depicting slogans like 'No More Hiroshima' and 'We want bread, education and job, Not bombs.' Before the peace march, a poster exhibition about the devastation and screening of a film 'A mother's prayer' on Hiroshima were organised in various colleges of Mumbai this was done to create awareness among the students about the ill effects of nuclear bomb.
