OMCAP asked to open franchises abroad
Hyderabd, Aug 6 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today directed the Overseas Manpower Company Andhra Pradesh Limited (OMCAP) to prepare a business plan and start franchises in other countries to make it more effective.
Addressing a review meeting on the performance of the company here, he said the company should function in a focussed manner to achieve the desired goals.
The meeting also decided to reduce the registration fees to OMCAP from Rs 750 to Rs 200. It also decided to start international level driving schools with track facilities in some of the government ITIs in the state, particularly in rural ITIs, an official release said here.
OMCAP was planning to develop and upgrade skills for overseas jobs for 10,000 workers through the Ministry of Overseas Indians Affairs (MOIA) and Rajiv Udyoga Sri Funding this year, he said.
The meeting also decided to open OMCAP sub centres at Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Kadapa.
