NHPC files revised DRHP with SEBI

New Delhi, Aug 6 (UNI) Hydroelectric power generation firm NHPC Ltd today said it has filed its revised Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with SEBI.

The Board of the state-owned firm approved the proposed Initial Public Offering (IPO) of the company yesterday, to raise funds for its future expansions and part finance the construction and development costs of certain of identified projects.

The issue of 1,67,73,74,015 equity shares comprises a fresh issue of 1,11,82,49,343 equity shares by NHPC Ltd and an offer for sale of 55,91,24,672 equity shares by the President of India acting through the Ministry of Power, Government of India, a company statement said.

The company has appointed SBI Capital Markets Ltd, Kotak Mahindra Capital Company Ltd and Enam Securities Private Ltd as the lead managers for the public issue.

NHPC Ltd, a Mini Ratna, has developed and constructed 13 hydroelectric power stations and the total installed capacity is currently 5,175 MW.
