Monsoon active over North Interior Karnataka

Bangalore, Aug 6 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.

Monsoon was active over North Interior Karnataka.

Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka; at many places over North Interior Karnataka and at a few places over South Interior Karnataka.

Heavy Rainfall amounts(cm): Kollur, Gerusoppa, Jagalbet 7 each.

Other Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Joida 5; Alland 4; Subramanya, Honavar, Banavasi, Sirsi, Yellapura, Mundagod, Khanapur, Sindhanur, Linganamakki, Sagar, Talaguppa, Agumbe, Thirthahalli, Mudigere 3 each; Mani, Belthangadi, Siddapura, Ankola, Siddapura, Belgaum, Kalghatgi, Byadgi, Basavakalyan, Chincholi, Manvi, Bhagamandala, Tyagarthi, Sringeri, Kottigehara, Kammardi, Koppa, Siruguppa, Koratagere 2 each; Bajpe, Bantwal, Puttur, Sulya, Udupi, Karkala, Bhatkal, Shirali, Sambre, Athani, Sedbal, Hangal, Haveri, Ranebennur, Gulbarga, Sedam, Shahapur, Raichur, Chittapur, Napoklu, Madapura, Hosanagar, Soraba, Sakleshpura, Gowribidanur, Kurugodu, Davanagere, Harapanahalli, Forecast valid until Friday morning: Rain/ thundershowers likely to occur at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at many places over Interior Karnataka.
