Heavy Engineering consortium bags Rs 742 cr order

New Delhi, Aug 6 (UNI) Public sector firm Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC) Ltd today said its consortium has bagged an order worth Rs 742 crores from Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) of Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL).

''The company has bagged this order in consortium with Shapoorjii and Pallonjee Company Ltd, Kolkata for the setting up of a new Ore Bedding and Blending Plant (OBBP) and Base Blending facilities at RSP,'' company said in a statement.

Presently, the Jharkhand-based HEC is engaged in the execution of Coal Handling Plant at Nigahi Project of Northern Coalfield Ltd at an estimated cost of Rs 135 crores and Ore Handling Plant at Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) at an estimated cost of Rs 202 crores.
