Harbour line trains partially affected due to rains
Mumbai, Aug 6 (UNI) Train services on the Harbour line were partially affected today due to the incessant rains lashing the city.
According to the officials from the Central railway, local trains on the Harbour line were running behind schedule by a few minutes, for a few hours in the afternoon. Some of the indicators at the stations were not working properly, which led to utter chaos and restlessness amongst the commuters.
The delay in the train services was caused due to water clogging in the culverts along the tracks of Kurla, Chunnabhatti and Govandi stations, which cleared after the rain water was drained out.
Normal services were, however, resumed in the evening, the officials added.
However, vehicular traffic was not much affected due to the rains.
