Govt dismisses Revenue Inspector from service
Hyderabad, Aug 6 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh government today dismissed former Revenue Inspector of Gundala Mandal P Sudhakar from the service following his conviction by the Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases in Hyderabad in a bribery case.
The accused was arrested by the ACB officials in 2003 for accepting a bribe of Rs 2,000 from a complainant for inspecting his horticulture lands and reporting to the higher authorities with regard to the loss of crop to enable him to claim compensation from the government.
In another bribe case, the state government ordered to withhold 10 per cent pension for five years of former Assistant Audit Officer K Narasimha Murthy, who had retired as Deputy Director in the Office of District Audit Officer, Chittoor. The disciplinary action was following an enquiry by a tribunal here.
The officer was arrested by the ACB officials in a surprise check in his office on January Seven, 2002.
