Derailment leads to diversion of trains
Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, Aug 6 (UNI) Several mail and express trains were diverted after four wagons of a goods train derailed this morning near Dhamangaon Station in Maharashtra's Wardha-Badnera Section, Railway sources said.
Mail and express trains from Mumbai, Pune and Ahmedabad to Howrah were diverted. The 2101 Kurla-Howrah Superfast Exp, 2129 Pune-Howrah Azad Hind Exp, 2809 Mumbai-Howrah Mail and 2859 Mumbai-Howrah Gitanjali Exp were diverted along Bhusawal-Khandwa-Itarsi-Nagpur.
Train movement was restored in Bilaspur Railway Division, on the Howrah-Mumbai main route, where 18 wagons of a goods train derailed near Baradwar yesterday. The 8477 Kalinga-Utkal Exp was running late by three hours and the Patna-Durg South Bihar Exp by two hours.
