CM hands over pension orders to Ex-MLC's wife

Chennai, Aug 6 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today handed over orders sanctioning pension to Former MLC Ayyanan Ambalam's wife Magamayi at the Secretariat today.

According to an official release here this morning, the Chief Minister handed over the order under which Ms Magamayi alias will receive Rs 3,000 as monthly pension throughout her lifetime.

He also gave a cheque for Rs 48,000 being the pension arrears for the period April one, 2007 (when the pension was sanctioned) to July 31, 2008.

Ms Magamayi thanked the Chief Minister for his gesture recalling her husband was the MLC between 1970 and 1976.
