Reference rate fixed at Rs 42.28 per Dollar

Mumbai, Aug 5 (UNI) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today fixed the reference rate for US dollar at Rs 42.28 per unit, down by 12 paise, against yesterday's rate of Rs 42.40 per dollar.

The reference rate for Euro was quoted 33 paise down at Rs 65.69 per unit, against yesterday's rate of Rs 66.02.

The exchange rates for Pound and Japanese Yen against the Rupee were quoted at Rs 82.7990 (83.5725) per Pound and Rs 39.13 (39.36) per 100 units respectively, data received from RBI said.
