One shot dead in gunbattle over land

Munger, Aug 5 (UNI) At least one person was shot dead and two were seriously injured in a gunbattle between two groups of farmers near Bariarpur police station here today.

Police said two groups of farmers were engaged in a gunbattle over 100 acres of land that ultimately led to one casualty and injury to two.

Local police rushed to the spot to bring the situation under control.

The deceased was identified as Kailash Yadav.

However, police arrested two persons in connection with the charge of murder.

A police camp was set up in the village to keep vigil on the situation.
