Nuclear deal to be Congress' main plank in LS poll
New Delhi, Aug 5 (UNI) In a clear indication that its main plank in the next Lok Sabha elections will be the Indo-US nuclear deal, the Congress has organised a one-day orientation workshop tomorrow to enlighten its national and state-level spokespersons on the diferent facets of the issue for being conveyed effectively to the people.
AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi would wind up the day-long session at the Teenmurti Bhawan by delivering a lecture on "Energy Security." It will be preceded by a series of lectures by External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee on ''Nuclear Agreements and its Impact on India;'' National Security Adviser M K Narayanan on "Indian Nuclear Programme-Achievemetns, Capabilities and Requirements-123 Agreement-IAEA safeguards;'' and Prime Minister's Special Envoy on Indo-US Nuclear Deal Shyam Saran on "The Nuclear Deal-overall dimensions.'' Mr G P Srinivasan, Former Vice Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission, would make a power point presentation on nuclear agreement.
