Hindu Mahasabha expresses concern over terrorism
Bangalore, Aug 5 (UNI) The recent incidents of serial bomb blasts in Bangalore and Ahmedabad show that extremist and terrorist activities were deep rooted in Indian cities, Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha (ABHM) Organising Secretary Santosh Kumar Rai said today.
Speaking to newspersons here, he said terrorism should be cowed down by all means and the people should rise against this kind of violence. The serial blasts exposed the inadequacies of the nation's internal security set up, he added.
''The contradictory statements issued by the state and Central governments are giving out wrong signals to our security agencies and demoralising them. The government should probe the incidents and equip themselves to counter such dastardly acts,'' he said.
Mr Rai said ABHM was of the opinion that these incidents of violence were masterminded by the SIMI and the Lashkar-e-Toiba.
''The serial bomb blasts and the recent revelations about the terrorist training camps at Dharwad and Karwar forest regions show the inefficiency of the state and Central intelligence agencies,'' he said.
He also demanded the state and Central governments to set aside their 'vote-bank politics' and maintain strict vigil on terrorist organisations.
