Father, son killed by naxals
Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Aug 5 (UNI) A father and his son, who were abducted by naxals three days back, have been killed at Kuttapalli village in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, police said today.
The body of Kattam Bala (35) and his son Kattam Ankanti were found near Dalgam village today.
There was no clue about Shankarai, another villager who was taken by naxals along with the father and son on August 1. Police suspected he was being held captive by the ultras.
Inspector General of Police (Bastar range) N N Upadhyay said the slain people were neither police informers nor associated with anti-naxalite Salwa Judum campaign.
The cause behind their murder was being ascertained. Efforts were being made to release one abducted person.
