Explosive material found at ex-CBI chief's house

Hyderabad, Aug 5 (UNI) Police today found explosive substance wrapped in plastic near the residence of Former CBI Director and Telugu Desam Party Leader K Vijayarama Rao at the posh Banjara Hills in the city.

Mr Rao, who found a suspicious looking object, immediately informed the police.

Bomb disposal squads immediately rushed to the spot where they found explosive materials wrapped in the shape of a ball.

Initial investigation showed the ball contained gun powder.

However, it was sent to the government forensic sciences laboratory for tests.

Mr Vijayarama Rao was a Former Minister and Greater Hyderabad TDP President.
