Dhumal thanks Prime Minister for aid

Shimla, Aug 5 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today thanked Prime Minister ManMohan Singh, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Haryana Chief Minister Bhupender Singh Hooda for coming to the aid of victims of Naina Devi accident.

Mr Dhumal said the Prime Minister announced Rs one lakh to the families of the deceased in the accident.

He also expressed his gratitude towards Punjab Chief Minister for carrying out relief and rehabilitation work and delivering emergency services to the affected families.

He said the gesture of Mr Badal in announcing Rs one lakh each to the deceased's families also deserve appreciation.

He also thanked Ananddpur Sahib hospital for providing free medical treatment. Mr Dhumal also praise Ropar district administration, Anandpur Gurudwara Management Committee for carrying out relief operation.

Mr Dhumal also acknowledge Mr Hooda for releasing ex-gratia grant of Rs one lakh for victims belonging to Haryana.
