We have been protesting for long, but the Centre does not give importance to our demands at all," claimed Monoj Baruah, Secretary of theAssam Yuba Chatra Parishad.
Baruah's charge came even as Maharashtra Police arrested over 40 Bangladeshi nationals, including 18 women and five children in Thane District. They were arrested for violating the Indian Passport Act and Foreigner's Act. Deputy Commissioner of Police of Thane Dattatreya Karate, said these illegal migrants would be deported to Bangladesh.
