8 new prosecutors appointed, term of 25 extended in Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 5 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir government today appointed eight new prosecutors and additional prosecutors while the term of appointment of 25 others have been extended.

An official spokesman, quoting the Law Department said, the government has appointed eight advocates as Public Prosecutors and Additional Public Prosecutors for the newly-created, existing Courts of Districts and Sessions Judges and Additional District and Sessions Judges.

He said the government also sanctioned the extension in the term of appointment of 25 public prosecutors and additional public prosecutors whose term was expired on Ist. June 2008.
