3 more suspected SIMI activists detained
Belgaum, Aug 5 (UNI) In the wake of the arrest of a suspected SIMI activist, police here today detained three more suspected SIMI activists, taking the figure of terror suspects arrested in the district to 11.
After the arrest of Munroz, key member of the banned organisation in Indore recently, Mumbai police had nabbed one Iqbal Jakati when he landed in Sahara airport from Sharjah on Saturday, brought to the city and formally arrested on Sunday.
Police sources said it was not yet known if the three were involved in the alleged bombing plot allegedly hatched by Munroz and Jakati in May.
They were identified as Navid Khaji, Ansan Nizami and Sadiq Mulla, all belonging to the city.
Seven suspected SIMI activists have already been arrested during the last three months.
