2 women charred as crackers explode

Lucknow, Aug 5 (UNI) At least two women were charred, while four people sustained burns after a heap of crackers exploded in the Pakhvara area of Moradabad district today.

As per the information received from the state police headquarters, the incident occurred at one Raees Ahmad's house in Sarai colony, where these crackers were stored in an illicit manner.

A sudden fire in them led to the tumble-down of the house and its adjacent building.

Two women died in the explosion, while the wounded were recuperating at hospital.

Raees used to sold these crackers illicitly in the market, police added.
