Six people run over by Jansadharan Express

Patna, Aug 4 (UNI) At least six people were run over and killed by speeding Jansadharan Express near Danapur railway station under Danapur Rail Division of East Central Railway this evening.

Superintendent of Police (Rail) Ravindra Shankaran said some people were crossing the railway tracks near the Danapur railway station when the speeding train knocked down six of them, leading to their deaths on the spot.

''Senior Railway officers and police have reached the spot to take stock of the situation,'' he added.

Meanwhile, an irate mob ransacked the GRP office and other Railway offices of the Danapur station in protest against the incident.
