Seven people run over by Jansadharan Express

Patna, Aug 4 (UNI) At least seven people were run over and killed, while three were injured by Delhi-bound Jansadharan Express near Danapur railway station under Danapur Rail Division of East Central Railway this evening.

Police Superintendent(Rail) Ravindra Shankaran said here some people were crossing the railway tracks near the Danapur railway station when the train knocked them down, leading to their death on the spot.

The injured had been hospitalised.

Senior Railway officers and police had reached the spot to quell the anger of the people, he added.

Meanwhile, irate mob ransacked the GRP office and other railway offices of the Danapur station in protest against the incident.
